It was a day I will carry with me for a long time.

I spoke about seventy years of transformation in DanceSport: from its origins to the major changes of today, from ICAD to the WDSF, and towards the vision of the future that awaits us with Dakar 2026 — the first Olympic event ever to be organised in Africa.

But above all, I spoke about community.
About our DanceSport community.

My sincere thanks go to:

🔸 Antoni Czyżyk, President of the Polish DanceSport Federation and WDSF Vice-President for Development, for making this important meeting possible and for his visionary leadership.
🔸 Szymon Kulis, for his collaboration and support.
🔸 The Józef Piłsudski University of Physical Education in Warsaw and the Faculty of Rehabilitation, for creating a genuine bridge between science and practice.
🔸 The World DanceSport Federation and its entire Presidium, for their constant guidance in the international development of our sport.
🔸 The full scientific and organisational team of the conference, held under the Honorary Patronage of the Polish Ministry of Sport and Tourism.

These projects educate. They truly shape people.

They broaden our perspective, bring different worlds into dialogue, and remind all of us that DanceSport is, above all, a great international family growing together.

I am proud to have contributed as a speaker, and even more grateful for what I learned by listening to colleagues, researchers, athletes, and leaders.

“DanceSport is not where we came from. It is where we are going.”

DanceSportSystem is proud to promote “La Danza nella Mente” by Pietro Braga — a book created for those who want to deepen the way they understand, experience, and develop DanceSport.

A valuable journey for dancers, teachers, adjudicators, and passionate DanceSport lovers who believe in continuous growth. Technique, musicality, movement, partnering, and personal vision become essential tools to go beyond simply performing steps.

Because a great performance is not created only through physical preparation.
It comes from understanding what we do, listening to the music, using the body with logic, and transforming every movement into true expression.
